1. We will first add your details to our database
2. If you have indicated a job reference we will advise the client brief details about you.
3. We will then check your references and subject to this, if the client is interested in you we will contact you to arrange an interview with the Agency.
4. You will then be required to attend a formal interview with the Agency and complete a questionnaire. At that point we will check your qualifications, identity and CRB certificate. You will also be required to have your photograph taken for security purposes.
5. We will then arrange for an informal telephone discussion between you and the client, which may lead to a formal interview with the client. If you have registered without a specific job reference please ensure you check the jobs board regularly and advise us the reference, of any jobs that you are interested in.
6. If you have not provided all the required information, or attended an interview with the agency, you will not receive full details of any vacancies available.

AGENCY CONTACT Please be patient - Successful applicants are those that communicate with our staff frequently, by telephone and email. You have 2 or 3 agencies to call, we have hundred's of nannies & families to keep informed.
Acceptance Policy.
If you have NO professional childcare qualifications and are under 25 years old, you must have at least 3 years professional experience (baby sitting or any voluntary work does not count) to register with us as a Nanny - Otherwise you must register as a mothers help only. |
If you are NEWLY qualified and are under 21 years old, you will require at least 1 years supervised or shared care experience after your college course for a sole charge position. |
You will be required to provide a full up to date CV, employment references and be prepared to complete a Criminal Records Disclosure. By submitting your registration form, you consent to the agency passing information, supplied by you, of both a personal and professional nature to prospective employers, in order that they can ascertain your suitability as an employee. This will be either verbally or written and may include contact details. The Agency reserves the right to decline any registration without explanation.
1. Qualification & Reference Check
When providing your initial application, ensure to email your CV. We require details of all formal qualifications taken including dates, school/college details and contact information as well as course pass references. We will check with the school to confirm your details. You must enclose details of your last 3 employers, to include name, address, telephone and email details. These must be UK traceable. Please advise them we will be contacting them. You will be required to be interviewed by the agency. Provide proof of identity. Provide original qualification certificates and a traceable employment history. Home landline telephone numbers must be supplied in addition to any mobile numbers. For Security purposes we do not call Mobile numbers.
2. CRB Certificates - NO CRB or CRB Application = NO CLIENT INTERVIEWS CAN BE ARRANGED
If you are not in possession of a CRB certificate we will forward your details to Atlantic Data Ltd as part of your agreement to register with us. All convictions, including spent ones, must be disclosed. By virtue of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975, the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 does not apply in relation to employment as a nanny, as the care of persons under the age of 18 is involved. By submitting this registration you consent to the agency passing information about any convictions you may have to prospective employers. We can start sending you to interviews, once Atlantic Data Ltd can confirm they have received your application. We will advise the client that your CRB is pending.
Atlantic Data Ltd will then arrange for a Disclosure Application form to be sent to your home address. The applicant will then complete the application form and send it to Atlantic Data Ltd, along with documentation to support their identity, and a fee of £43.00 (inc. vat) Atlantic Data Ltd will check the application, verify the identity, countersign the form and forward it to the CRB. The identification documents will be returned immediately to the applicant. The applicant will receive their Disclosure Certificate from the CRB (4-6 weeks normally, sometimes faster) and when Atlantic Data Ltd receive their copy this will be forwarded to Aupairs & Nannies International.
3. UK Citizenship
If you are not a UK citizen we will require proof of your right to work in the UK including a copy of your passport, driving licence and at least t here references we are able to contact. Admission to our agency depends on our ability to obtain satisfactory references in the UK. No applicants without a right to live and work in the UK will be registered with Top Nanny Agency. Non UK Citizen applicants currently overseas will only be considered for an au pairs position, and as long as their country is part of the au pair scheme. You will be required to supply a photograph that will be available online for clients to view.
4. Acceptance Agreement
Submitting this form implies that the information provided is true & accurate. The applicant agrees that all information supplied by The Agency to the applicant is Confidential and will not disclose this to other Clients or applicants. When the applicant is offered a position they will advise The Agency immediately that they have accepted.
5. Registered with more than one Agency?
An applicant cannot accept details of the same position from another agency, even if Aupairs and Nannies International Ltd has only advised the applicant of the position by telephone and not yet arranged an interview. If this occurs the applicant will be removed from the agencies files immediately.
6. Nanny Insurance
It is a mandatory requirement, that in the event of you accepting any child care position through Aupairs and Nannies International, you have adequate insurance cover for professional child care and nannies. This must include public liability and legal expenses. We are able to assist you in choosing a policy through Child care Insurance Specialists. Policy starts from £60.00 per annum. You will not be able to start a position without proof of adequate professional Insurance cover.
7. Marketing, Investigation and self search option database
We may choose to advertise your details on other reputable nanny job boards and email you further information. We may also share your registration with our partner nanny agencies, where we have reciprocal trading agreements, for both marketing and investigation purposes. If you have added your details to the Self select database, you have given permission to advertise your contact details and as such for clients to contact you direct. With this option it is the clients responsibility to interview you, check your identity and references.
8. What happens next

d. We will then invite to a formal interview with the agency - At that point we will check your qualifications, identity and CRB certificate, you will be required to complete a questionnaire and the whole process takes about an hour. You will also be required to have your photograph taken for security purposes |
e. We will then arrange for an informal telephone discussion between you and the client, which may lead to a formal interview with the client. |
If you have registered without a specific job reference please ensure you check both your email and our jobs board regularly and advise us of any vacancies that you are interested in. Due to the volume of enquiries we receive it is unlikely that we will be able to keep you informed of new vacancies. Interviewed and reference checked applicants will be advised of new vacancies, without them being advertised on the jobs board, in preference to non agency interviewed applicants.
9. Interviews
We are happy to interview you at our offices in Kent, alternatively one of our consultants can arrange to meet you at your local job centre office, nearer to you for your convenience.
10. Client Contact Policy
If for any reason you are unable to keep an appointment it is your responsibility to personally contact the client and advise them of this not the agencies.
