Aupairs and Nannies International Ltd
These terms of business are between Aupairs and Nannies International Ltd (The Agency), and The Host Family, and are deemed to have been accepted by the host family's completion of the Registration Form, and its submission on-line, or by post.
The terms and conditions indicated in this document are to ensure that both parties (that is the Family and the Au-Pair) are treated with the utmost of courtesy and respect, and to protect all parties to the agreement.
We pride ourselves on our personal and friendly service. We rely on the information provided by the Host Family for Au-Pair Placements, and use this information to find the best Au-Pairs to fill them. Therefore, it is important that the Registration Form is completed fully and accurately. This ensures that our Au-Pair placement is a happy and pleasurable experience for all concerned.
We do realise however that occasionally, and without fault on anyone's part, that a placement may not work out. Should this be the case, we ask that two weeks notice be given. We would also point out that Au-Pairs are not professionally trained in child care or domestic duties but do have the qualities needed to help families within the home with light housework and caring for children.
We cannot proceed with arranging a placement until the completed application form has been received. IN ADDITION, TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS FOR THE AU-PAIR CAN BE MADE ONLY WHEN WE ARE IN RECEIPT OF FULL PAYMENT OF THE PLACEMENT FEE. We accept payment by cheque to "Aupairs and Nannies International Ltd", by Bank Transfer, or by card via Paypal. Any invoices still outstanding 7 days after arrival of the aupair will be passed to our collection agency and may incur additional costs.
All information, records, correspondence and introductions are confidential and must not be disclosed whether directly or indirectly to third parties.
The Agency will not be responsible or liable in any way either directly or indirectly for any loss, damage, or injury, resulting from or following any act or omission of any party involved in the introduction service.

Refunds and Replacements
Refunds are subject to compliance on the part of the Client with the warranties specified and valid for placements greater than three months only.
Should the Au-Pair leave within 6 weeks of placement; the Agency will use its reasonable endeavours to offer a replacement. If it is unable to do so or the Client does not want a replacement, a refund may be made according to the scale below. However, no liability shall accrue to the Agency if it is unable to offer such a replacement or if the Client does not accept such a replacement.
Should the Au-Pair leave within 1 week the Agency will refund 75% of the introduction fee
Should the aupair leave after 6 weeks and up to 3 months from start date a replacement will be offered for the reduced fee of £95.
Termination of placement
Termination of the placement must be by 2 weeks written notice by either party. In the event of serious misconduct by one of the parties the other party is entitled to terminate the placement with immediate effect, and any monies owed by either party must be paid immediately to the other party. In the event of serious misconduct by the au pair the host family may summarily terminate the placement but should provide suitable accommodation for 24 hours to the au pair in order for the au pair to make alternative arrangements.
No refunds can be made after 6 weeks
N.B. No refunds can be made if the FULL placement fee was not paid on or before the Au-Pair's arrival.
Cancellation
In the event of cancellation by the Client, the following refunds will apply: After the Au-Pair has accepted the position, but before he/she has purchased a ticket to travel, 50% of the fee will be refunded. After the Au-Pair has accepted the position and has purchased a ticket to travel, no refund will be made.
In the event of cancellation or non-arrival of the Au-Pair, the Agency will make it a priority to find a replacement. If this is not possible, a refund will be made of the fee paid less £25 for administration expenses.
Liability
Whilst we will make every reasonable effort to ensure the suitability of an au pair selected by you, we can not be held responsible for the actions of the au pair whilst placed in your family and under the direct control and supervision of your family. The agency shall not be liable for any loss, damage to property, expense, injury to persons, delay, or clash of personalities howsoever occasioned, even if such act or omission is negligent, fraudulent, or dishonest.
